The UC BlaqOUT Conference was founded by Toi Thibodeaux of UC Riverside's LGBT Resource Center in 2014. UC Riverside hosted the first three BlaqOUT Conferences. In 2017, UC Davis hosted the 4th Annual BlaqOUT Conference. The conference then went back home to UC Riverside in 2018. In 2019, the 6th Annual BlaqOUT Conference traveled to a little campus in the forest and made its debut at UC Santa Cruz. In 2020, the conference was set to travel again, UC Berkeley agreed to host the 7th Annual BlaqOUT Conference, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic the conference was postponed. We are excited to welcome back the conference at UC Berkeley for 2022!
